The LOSTBlog.com Interview: 16 Questions We Asked @Laurie21

Laurie is one of the biggest UK Lost fans that I tweet with & re watches episodes with me so I deemed it appropriate to ask her to take the interview. She is such a huge Lostfreak her boyfriend (who isn't a Lost fan at all) made her a Dharma birthday cake last year. She has also named her unborn child Charlie, i suggested Sawyer but she wouldn't budge. Follow her on Twitter here http://twitter.com/laurie21

Q:  How long have you been watching Lost?

Since day 1 in the UK on channel 4, the David LaChapelle promo on C4 had me hooked before it even started!

Q: How did Lost get its polar bear claws into you? What about it got you hooked?

As soon as i heard the 'monster' noises from the jungle in the first episode i knew! just knew i was going to love Lost.

Q: Favorite character?

James "Sawyer" Ford i love his straight talking no messing about attitude plus there's the bonus that he's hot as hell

Q: Least favorite character?

Kate she has way to many bad points, i've always seen her as a user of other people and i really dislike that
.
Q: Favorite episode or season?

Favorite episode 'Theres No Place Like Home' so much happened in this finale that you hardly had chance to breath very exciting episode, but my favorite season is season 5 definitely! i just loved the shifting through time aspect.

Q: Least favorite episode or season?

Least favorite season is season 2 not enough excitement or shock factor for me and the finale was disappointing and least favorite episode is 'expose' it just wasted my time frankly.

Q: Are you Team Jack or Team Locke?

Team Locke most definitely I'd be totally on board with his way of thinking embracing the mystery behind the island, I'm a big believer in fate myself anyway so i would think that everything happens for a reason.

Q: If you had to be one of the following, which would it be and why: an 815 survivor, an Other or a member of the Dharma Initiative?

An 815 survivor, I'd be fascinated with all the mystery of the island, I'd totally be on Locke's side embracing the fact that something amazing had actually happened.

Q: Which character’s demise were you most upset to see happening?

Charlie he was one of my favorites i was also a big fan of Charlie/Claire and was disappointed we didn't see more of there relationship.

Q: What are you favorite online Lost communities, blogs, podcasts, etc.?

To be honest i tend to avoid a lot in case i get spoiled, I'm very anti spoilers when it comes to Lost and tend to be overly cautious when it comes to them, if i know somethings spoiler free (through links etc) I'll read and listen to anything anywhere, i always enjoy listening/reading peoples theories.

Q: Tell us something interesting/scary/amusing/downright weird about how your time in the Lost fan-verse has changed your life.

Hmmm i cant really think of anything 'life changing' for me personally, but i guess Lost helped me introduce my brother to his boyfriend, i was friends with a guy at work & we'd chat about Lost all the time.. anyway we got onto discussing the men of Lost (which was the way the conversations would usually go) and he thought Daniel Faraday was really cute, my brother happens to look exactly like a certain Mr Faraday, so i became a bit of a matchmaker and set them up on a date the rest they say is history.. there still together today, there was more to it than just him looking like Dan but it helped!

Q: You’re in an elevator with someone who has never seen as much as a second of Lost. You got on in the lobby and you’re both headed to the fifteenth floor. How do you convince them to buy and watch all the DVDs before the elevator gets there?

I'd very quickly show them trailers for Lost on my phone (the joy of technology!!) that's how I've convinced friends to watch in the past, I'm not great with words and trying to get across the awesomeness that is Lost (Without confusing the hell out of people) is extremely difficult i find.

Q: Has watching Lost sparked any creative inspiration in your life, i.e. writing, media, art, etc.?

To be honest I'm not a very creative person but lost is very much a part of my life, my apartments full of lost posters, i graffiti my own house with Dharma logos and i have made Dharma baby clothes!

Q: How do you plan on combating PLDS (Post Lost Distress Syndrome) or do you think we’re all destined to end up continuously re-watching our Lost: The Complete Series Ultimate Box Set for the rest of our lives?

Well I'm having a baby (Which could actually be born on the lost finale if hes late) so that will keep me busy and when he's old enough I'm going to introduce him to Lost, I'm passing it down through generations here!

Q: What do you think will be Lost’s legacy?

Well i think it has been the most mysterious TV show ever made, i think it will be remembered for the mysteries more than the answers in a way, it all depends on what those answers are going to be though so bring on series 6!
