Staying Lost After Lost - The 23rd Psalm

Mr. Eko is one of my very favorite characters.  And not only because I'm fond of his Jesus stick.  His past is traumatic, dark, passionate, deep.  It's a shame we only get him for a little over a season.  He would have been epic.  I understand though that the actor, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, needed to leave due to his parents' death.  It's one of those things that you run into with TV, like Walt.  Sometimes I wish Lost was a book.

I feel very resolved with this episode.  The mysteries don't bother me.  I know what the smoke monster is.  I know how and why the plane got there.  I also know that this storyline isn't going anywhere and that there won't be extreme reveals - some general connections, you know, as always.  But I kind of sat back and enjoyed this episode.  The storytelling in the episode was amazing.  It really was always about the characters.

After the show ended I heard a rumor that Eko was supposed to have the role that Sayid had in Season 6.  The Flocke assassin I guess?  And I did notice a couple of interesting things that kind of proves that true to me.  The way that MIB scans Eko, I think that MIB scanned Locke this same way in Walkabout.  To our knowledge we haven't seen anyone else have an encounter with MIB besides Locke and Eko.  I think that MIB may have been seeking these two out to carry out the rest of his plan to completion.  I also think it's kind of interesting that the drug dealer told Eko that he has no soul.  And I remember Sayid saying something about him having no soul after what happened to him in Season 6.  Just a cool idea to me and I kind of connected a few things with that theory and this episode.

This was a beautiful episode that gave us Eko's story.  And when you first watch you see a bunch of crazy things that happen on island.  It is a great episode!  But to me they ruin it a little bit with Michael and his IMing.  I guess at the present time when you are watching the IMing is kind of awesome but now I am just trying to figure it out.  I always thought that it was not Walt (Damon and Carlton apparently say otherwise).  It was the Others luring Michael into the jungle to do something - who knows?  But last night on the podcast Dara brought up something kind of interesting.. What if it was MIB doing something crazy in Michael's head?  Just like with any vision on a dead relative or crazy dream that one of the other Losties would have.  I always thought it was strange that Michael is IMing - Jack walks in the room and his IMs are gone without him pushing a button!  I just thought that was a very interesting take on it.

I think I have said it before, but one of the best things about Lost is that everyone can have a different take on things and it would make sense.  That's why I love talking with Lost fans and doing the podcast because I get to hear everything - the strange, the crazy, the religious, the funny, the angry, the happy.  As a big fan of Eko - I am kind of angry we didn't get to see everything they had planned for him.  But I do appreciate his story and what he brought to the island.

Staying Lost After Lost - What Kate Did

Everybody has daddy issues in this show.  And Kate isn't excluded.  This episode brings those issues to the forefront and we get to feel a little bit of sympathy for Kate in this episode.  And even though I am not a big fan of hers or Season 2, I did enjoy this episode - for a Kate-centric episode anyway.

First of all, the love triangle can go to hell.  If I want to see some girl unable to choose what guy she wants to be with I will watch Days of Our Lives.  I'm just not into it.  But something clicked for me as to why Kate NEEDS these two men.  Her mother always had Sam, a good upstanding guy - reminds me a lot of Jack.  And she always had Wayne, the trashy guy she couldn't seem to let go of - reminds me a lot of Sawyer.  That is quite the daddy issue.  But it's manifesting itself on the island to help her let go of it.  So I guess I understand the triangle.  But I still hate it.

Off island Kate was tolerable.  I thought what she did to Wayne was a little drastic and over the top.  But I don't think she was being entirely selfish for once.  I really think that she was trying to take care of her mother.  She wouldn't have taken out the insurance policy if she was totally selfish.  She would have just killed him.  I do think that she killed him for selfish reasons though.

On island Kate was even more selfish than ever!  She doesn't go to Shannon's funeral, she flees the Hatch with the button alarm blaring and Sawyer on the ground, she kisses Jack, the dialog she has with Sayid was all about her... I really think that her issue is more being a selfish person than it is running.  Running is just part of her being selfish.  She is getting away from what she did that was so selfish.  And then it just leads to more selfishness.

Since we don't see Kate anymore after she leaves the island, we don't get to see if she makes peace with her selfishness before she dies.  But I think that we get to see it in the flash-sideways with her episode "What Kate Does."  And what she does is not run.  And not act selfish.  She goes back for Claire and then takes her to the hospital, things like that.  Pre-island Kate would have never, she would have just kept on running.  So I think that it was cool that they used the flash-sideways to show us her progression.

I think Kate progresses well in this episode.  I think her admitting why she killed Wayne to Sawyer was a big step.  Yeah, everything she said was selfish, but she said it. And she felt really sorry too.

I think we were meant to not like Kate until we had her back story.  This is definitely the  case with me.  I loved her before, Season 1 made me dislike her.  She doesn't entirely have all my love now but I get her now.  And I bet she has it all back before the re-watch is over.

They also threw a ton of island mystery stuff at us too with Locke and Eko and the Orientation film, as well as Michael and the IM'ing.  And I admit that when I first watched this episode I was quite involved with that mystery, but this time I was really focused on Kate.  I feel like this show has done a complete 180 on me... just another reason why I love it so much!

Staying Lost After Lost - Collision

This episode was a very self-contained Season 2.  Not many answers or revelations in the storyline of this episode.  The only thing I noticed was the Locke/Eko set-up and the stupid love triangle set-up.  I kind of liked how they started those story lines though.  But I do I think a lot was revealed in Ana-Lucia.  Even though I hate her.

Ana-Lucia Cortez.  I am not a fan.  I understand who she was, why she was on the island and what she gave us an example to.  While watching this episode I really tried hard to watch it with Season 6 eyes.  And I do think that I got more out of it watching now that the show is over.  But I still don't like her.  She isn't as bothersome as Nicki and Paolo, but I will take Kate over her in a heartbeat.

She is a quick and simple glimpse into the show as a whole.  I can see why she was on the island.  She was flawed.  She was broken.  It is unclear if Jacob picked her or not, but she has all of the attributes that any of the other survivors.  She had things that she needed to let go of.  She had parent issues.  Very similar to the other ones.

To me, her issues have nothing to do with her unborn baby.  She overreacts to everything.  I mean, tying Sayid up after you just killed his girl?  Throwing Nate in that pit.  Not to mention killing everyone - Goodwin, Shannon, the guy who shot her when she was pregnant and on duty.  Maybe she is in panic mode and flips out?  She's scared, she knee jerk?  To me, this is her real problem.

I think she was getting over this on the island.  The island is an intense place where you meet these troubles in your life head on.  You have to face them and get over them.  She cries on Eko, she expresses remorse and opens up to Sayid.  I think she is progressing.  I think she does progress.  In her final moments, Michael asks her to kill Ben and she cannot.  And then Michael kills her.  She has made her progress, let go and it was time for her to move on.  This is the entire core of the show.

I am not exactly sure why Desmond said that she wasn't ready in the Flash Sideways.  But I like what my friend Matt said about her - the fact that she "wasn't ready" in the Flash Sideways should tell us that there is not much reason to love her.  I totally agree with this.  To me, she wasn't a well-loved character.  And we don't have to love her.  She was an example of dealing with issues, letting go and moving on.  Just like Shannon was.  We see this type of cycle go down with all of our characters.

I am definitely not a fan of Ana-Lucia.  But I do appreciate what they were doing with the character.  I don't think she was entirely pointless.  But she rubs me the wrong way and I will never like her.  Sorry.

Staying Lost After Lost - The Other 48 Days

This episode did not do it for me.  Not discounting it at all, but it was only good for what it was at the time.  I don't think it was awesome, adding more to the series like some episodes have.  But it did add a lot to Season 2 at this point in time.  And the way it was done was brilliant.  But it didn't add anything to my experience to the show as a whole.

There is always another group that comes along to mix it up with the main characters - this is the Tail Section, the Others, the Frighter, the Temple people.  They eventually (mostly) die off.  But from these groups we get Bernard, Libby, Juliet, Ben, Alpert, Faraday, Charlotte, Miles, etc.  Lost is a rare kind of show that can do something like that.  I think they did an awesome job bringing these groups in.  It worked.

The big mysteries of this episode have pretty much been solved.  We know who the Others are.  We know who sent Goodwin and why.  We know that Dharma had stations all over the island.  The only thing to me that was kind of a mystery is kind of why they had to take the people?  Why couldn't they say, "Hey - you guys crashed here, come with me," or something?  These people were advocates of Jacob.  Jacob loved choices.  Why aren't the tail section survivors given a choice?  I asked this on the podcast and again, my lovely co-host, Dara said it was all Ben Linus.  This makes sense.  Ben really can't do anything in a civilized way.  He has to go about things very sinisterly.  It's just who he is.

We don't really actually know where these taken people go and what happens to them really.  We see Cindy, Zack and Emma all the way into Season 6 and I'm assuming that more were taken that we were unfamiliar with.  But were they brainwashed in Room 23 or something and made to believe they were Others?  We know there were a lot of Others off island so maybe some that were taken were already Others.  Another thing we never fully got an answer to, but we can just assume they decide to live life as an Other at the Temple or Dharmaville or something.

Again - as far as the whole arc of the series goes, this episode just does not fill anything in for me.  But it is always good to watch these episodes for the nostalgia.  And also just to see how much they did really answer.

Staying Lost After Lost - Abandoned

I really never would have thought that a Shannon-centric episode would be so telling of the about the entire show and how it ends.  It shows us a little more clearly than it did with Boone about letting go of your past.  It sets up the idea of constants.  It is perfectly annoying with Wet Walt.  And it also gives us a little bit more to see about the tail section.  But I think I will save that for next time.

Shannon probably always had it in her to be caring and do well for herself.  But no one ever thought she could.  Maybe it was because she was young and pretty.  Or whatever it was, people around her made her this way.  Her father included.  And she believed it about herself almost.  I think her step-mother was jealous of her and wanted her to be incompetent for the rest of her life because she probably didn't like the relationship Shannon had with Boone.  Shannon needed to be believed in.  And Sayid did that for her.  He helped her let go of that feeling she had about herself.

We knew there was a connection between Shannon and Sayid since early Season 1 when he asks her to help him with the French translations.  But we don't know why and how big of an impact that is going to have on each other until Season 5, when Daniel Faraday explains to Desmond that he needs a constant.  They set this constant thing up so early.  And we don't even notice it.  We don't even think it's that big of a deal.  And most of us think that Shannon and Sayid are a weird couple.  And he loves Nadia anyway.  And to me it just seems that all of that was cleverly placed in there to throw us off.

And while I have Nadia brought up, let me bring up something that I noticed.  In Season 6's "Sundown", Sayid tells MIB that the only thing he ever wanted died in his arms and that he will never see it again.  He is really talking about Shannon here.  Not Nadia.  While he was with both of them when they died, he is really holding Shannon.  Whereas, with Nadia he kind of strokes her hand.  I mean that is probably very minor and doesn't mean much.  But I will take it since I am all for Shannon and Sayid!

I have tried for a long time to try and figure out what they were trying to do here with Wet Walt and honestly, I can't.  I have thought about some really strange ideas of what they may have been thinking but I just can't get anything to make real sense.  And maybe it's because they didn't have anything to make sense of it.  At this point they knew they weren't going to have him back on the show.  So why have him lead Shannon to her death?  Who knows, maybe they were really going to do something with it but Malcolm David Kelley grew more yet again!  And they had to drop it.  Whatever it was, the whole Walt situation really pisses me off.  And I do hope that later on sometime the creators might explain it.  But I am not holding my breath.

This was a really good episode.  It showed us a lot of answers before we knew they were answers.  And some creepiness in the background with the tail section, which again does not really bother me since I know kind of where that comes from.  A first watch recap of this episode would have been completely opposite of this one.  But now that we know everything we are going to know, I think it has completely changed the show.  And maybe for the better, you know.  I think I am actually starting to enjoy Season 2.

Staying Lost After Lost - ...And Found

This episode wasn't rich in clues at all.  But it did blatantly show us the con.  It was Jin/Sun-centric.  Sun loses her wedding ring.  Jin is on the other side of the island with the Tail section and Mr. Eko and they are looking for Michael.  Ana-Lucia is headed with Sawyer and the rest of the tail section to the main Losties camp.  A lot going on... but what really mattered?

This episode was really creepy when I first watched it.  Flipped out Ana-Lucia, dead Goodwin, the Others' feet.  It was so scary!  Who are the Others?  What did they do?  Where is Walt?  It was soooooo creepy!  But in true Lost fashion - back there in the flashback you have the amazing love story developing between Jin and Sun.  Just reminding me that Lost is not about those Other's feet.  It's a giant love story that conned us into being hooked with the creepiness.

I guess the biggest thing that stuck out to me this episode and I had it in my notes but my beautiful podcasting co-host, Dara, made it a little bit clearer to me.  Locke says to Sun, that he's basically "found" since coming to the island and it's because he stopped looking.  I have to say that I don't agree with him here.  He isn't found when he is talking to Sun here.  He isn't found at all.  Maybe in the flash sideways when he is walking into the church.  But he is always looking for something to make him not feel so worthless.  And possibly at this moment he was feeling found but it ends when he finds the Pearl station.  And he was feeling found probably when Widmore heals him up when he flashes to Tunisia but ends when Ben kills him.  That's the tragedy of him.

I really don't have much to say about this episode, really.  Lost was a love story.  And they threw us off completely with creepy stuff.  I couldn't see it then.  But I see it now.  There are many couples in this show, Jin and Sun are the first solid couple we get to see.  And while they may be slightly boring, they do show us what I think is one of the realist love stories ever.  And nothing else matters in this story but love, really.

Staying Lost After Lost - Everybody Hates Hugo

Hurley episodes are generally the lighter side of Lost.  But this episode was actually a little more emotional.  Everything is different and changing for Hurley in this episode.  On the island, he is put in charge of the food they found in the Dharma Station.  Off the island, he has won the lottery and no one knows until he is busted at the gas station.  We also get to see more of Eko - I mean the Tail Section.  And Kate takes a shower, because she is the only one who ever cleans herself!

In Hurley's dream, Jin says "Everything's going to change."  Change is something very apparent in this show.  And for the sake of this episode, I think I will bring back the "Lost Axiom."   So, this change is Lost Axiom #7.  Over the course of the show, the characters change, the island changes, the rules change, the game changes.  I think change is the progress that Jacob talks about.  And I understand change.  It happens in life.  Things changes.  It's scary as hell.  So I understand what Hurley is going through here.  He doesn't quite get over how it changed and he lost his friend off the island, but on the island is uses that experience and does things how he wants to with the food.

I don't know if they really knew that  Hurley would take over on the island at this point.  But I find in hilarious when he says things like "Jack put me in charge."  And I think that this episode does a great job of showing how awesome Hurley accepts his responsibility and, again, takes care of people.  When Hurley lets everyone have at the food and enjoy a little picnic, the Losties are happy.  They aren't thinking about the Others or the smoke monster or anything like that.  They are just having a nice moment.  I had to really hold back the tears right here at this picnic.

I am sorry but to me it seems like Rose always knew everything.  On island and flash sideways.  She just seems enlightened.  She doesn't care about what's going on with the A-team and the hatch, and what it is.  She just wants to be on the island, do her laundry and wait for her husband.  Because nothing else matters.  Her and Bernard are the same way in the flash sideways.  They just seem so all knowing all the time.  To me, anyway -  I could be completely wrong.

It seemed like there was a lot of juxtaposition in this episode.  All of the Hurley stuff, learning about the tail section, and then I was just chuckling so much at Jack and Sayid exploring the hatch.  They are the ones that caused it!  It just makes me laugh so much when they are in the hatch.

Now that Lost is over, I just really cry at it a lot more.  The picnic scene was so moving to me - I guess because there aren't that many happy moments in the show.  I just don't remember being so sad about it when I first watched it.  I was the same way about Boone's death.  I did not cry when it first happened but now that it's over I can't stop crying!  Not that I don't mind that Lost ended.  (I'm ok with it because it needed to.) But Lost just means a lot to me.  It makes me think.  It makes me happy.  It brought a lot of good friends to me and back to me.  So, I know that this sounds so sappy, but it's more that just a show to me.

Staying Lost After Lost - Orientation

This was a very enjoyable episode of Season 2 - and not JUST because Eko made an appearence. I think it loosely sets up what is to come. I think I am quite a fan of Locke-centric episodes. As much as the character confuses me and pisses me off - his story is good. It's tragic. This episode was written by Javier Grillo-Marxuach and the episodes that he writes always seem to captivate me the most.

To me, this was Orientation to the game. Locke's faith. Jack's disbelief. The button could be seen as a foreshadow to the light cave end game. The button, this hatch tested Locke so hard.  Jack as a witness to what Locke went through. They both gained a little from each other in the hatch. And they both needed each other to go through these things to get where they needed to be.

I am not a fan of Helen bu tLocke's faith came straight from Helen. I never noticed how much faith he drew from her.    He is even regurgitating a lot of what she says.  And the reason he is so into the hatch and believing - I think is because he should have done what Helen said there in his flashback about his father.  And now he has the chance to believe, in this hatch. And he will. I still absolutely hate Helen for being so vile to Locke. But she did give him a lot to hold onto on the island. And Jack needed Locke to be so blindly adamant about things for him to get where he needed to be.

Locke's story aside, I really liked Jack's stuff in this episode. He was really freaking out. I think it was because of Desmond. And remembering Sarah. In addition to an impossible button that saves the world. Everything was just making him an irrational mess - like worse than normal. Like he could not take everything that was happening. He is so reluctant to push that button when Locke asks. But he does it. And I think that shows some more Man of Faith potential in Jack.

The Dharma Initiative was something that I used to think was so amazing. Especially after this Orientation film. I really thought that they were something major. But after Season 5, I just think they are a bunch of idiots! The only thing cool about this film now was the fact that Jack is watching it and learning all about the incident when he is the one that caused it. I don't know what the bomb did, but I think that the whole scenario was the incident. And it was cool to see that. I also think it was very cool that we actually did get to find out what the incident was.

Jin, Sawyer and Michael also had a little time in this episode where they were harassed by the tail section. This part of the episode just made me angry because it made me think of how many ideas they gave us about the Others that just were not true. But when it comes down to it though, it is not about the Others. It is about what these characters are going through. And I can totally see this now and it just makes this show that much better.

Staying Lost After Lost - Adrift

Season 2 lays some ground work down for how the show will go.   And I can see that now.   But at the same time it is all over the place.  I don't even know how to explain my frustration for this season.  A Michael-centric episode here.  Great.  Just icing on the Season 2 hate cake.  So I tried to watch with a clear mind.

I was not bothered with the Dharma snacks, or how long this crazy man had been in this 1980's hole.  I didn't feel all WTF when Desmond asked the snowman question.  But I remembered those feelings and I liked it.  This was a story about the characters.  Always has been.  And I can see it now.  Clearly.  So I sat back and I studied Michael.  As a character.

They didn't just say they were going to throw Michael away and make him a whisper-teller right here.  They knew that he wasn't ever going to let go of what he needed to and they knew he was going to be a pawn for MIB.  And from this episode I see what they were doing with him.  That's what it looks like to me anyway.

Michael's attitude in this episode on the raft is so telling for me.  Especially when it is contrasted with Sawyer's.  I see potential in Sawyer for change when he saves Michael and shows concern for Walt.  Michael has no potential.  Michael is hung up on Walt.  Michael cannot properly let go of Walt because he was never given a choice.  And he could never let go because of this.  So he was stuck on the island as a whisper.

Lost is about choices.  Or at least feeling like you have a choice.  Michael was never given anything like that with Walt.  Susan wanted Walt all to herself.  And manipulated Michael into giving him to her.  Michael could never choose.  Once Michael finally got Walt he was taken by the Others yet again.  Why was Walt taken?  Probably for the whole Jacob replacement thing... But maybe it was more of a test for Michael to let go of him.  And Michael could not.  He was so obsessed with Walt.  He killed people.  Michael's story is very tragic.  And I was able to see it a little more clearly now. (It was always about characters.)

Locke really creeped me out this episode with his interaction with Desmond and Kate in the Hatch.  His blind faith in things has always bothered me.  And it is ultra creepy here.  Clearly, he thinks he is the chosen one for something.  And he thinks this is it.  He is also being manipulative here with tying up Kate so that he can talk to Desmond about his "destiny."  I do not think he was doing anything for the good of them all, as he says.  He wanted Desmond alone to talk with him.  It's creepy and it will never be not creepy.  I think that Locke really needed to let go of that.  Not that I don't like Locke and his island love.. but his whole destiny obsession, yuck!

I think I will learn to love Season 2.  It has potential.  (like Sawyer! haha)  After watching this episode I can see that it will happen. The mystery is nostalgic but they knew what they were doing and I will be able to see the path.  The sharks and the Dharma snacks were just put there to throw us off.  I really think I will love it.  I am hoping, anyway.

WFTB – S2E19 – SOS

I had to miss this tweet-up because of a prior commitment, but I’m really glad to see the WFTB just keeps on rolling.  And thanks to y’all I’m not feeling all alone on a beach hauling rocks in vain.  You tweeps just keep on keeping on.  This is the only Rose & Bernard flashback we get, I think.  I think their arc is fairly well wrapped up in the final scene of this episode, then in the Season 5 finale where they’re at peace at living together on the island.  To them it didn’t matter that they were no longer in the right time, they were in the place, and that was all that mattered.  While Jack and Kate.. well they still have some work to do.

DrDreia: i'm always amazed that the Losties cn figure out whr they R in an Island! I get lost in my own neighborhood whr no house is D same.
lostdogs10: Even though you get frustrated don't give up...Rose, Bernard, Locke. Jack.
lostdogs10: Aww Sawyer has one friend..Vincent.
DrDreia: So what ends up happening with the SOS, well actually SSS sign
DrDreia: did you see the upside down sad face on the beach/sign
lostfnords: THESE ARMS OF MINE http://bit.ly/JNn2f
DrDreia: It's not my button...amazing how soon we get a change of heart hah Mr. Locke?
DrDreia: Ahhh Hurley & Libbie So sweet! Oh and poor Sawyer & Vincent :(
lostdogs10: @lostfnords When you find your soulmate time--months or yrs doesn't matter.
nelly061: @DrDreia Bernard spelled it upside down, so they were never rescued. Poor Bernard
DrDreia: awww the sweet part of the kissy kissy...and here comes Mr. Annoying himself Michael argh
lostdogs10: @lostfnords Rose and Bernard will always be connected.
lostdogs10: @DrDreia I said when I first saw this episode that Michael instead of C blocking had instead Kiss Blocked Jack and Kate. I was mad.
DrDreia: @nelly061 didn't realize the Dentist didn't know how to spell. ESL brainiac
DrDreia: @lostdogs10 that was a sweet moment and now tht you know what happened with stupid Michael you almost want to punch him.
lostdogs10: @DrDreia Isn't a dentist technically a doctor? I didn't like Rose insulting Bernard like that.
DrDreia: @lostdogs10 I didn't like that either, but Bernard was being a big behind too tho. Having that said, Rose did a no no too
lostdogs10: Next episode is when I didn't like Michael so much anymore.
ZachsMind: Sorry I'm late for Gonna press play in a few minutes. Getting the Dharma popcorn ready! =)
ZachsMind: I know SOS is not a fave of many, but it's in my top 10 for a number of reasons. Chief among them: only R&B-Centric ep.
ZachsMind: OK Pressing Play. Wanted to scan prev tweets this evening B4 i hunkered down. =)
ZachsMind: Rose & Bernard remind me of my parents. They argue and somehow that's how they show affection for each other.
ZachsMind: "Hey you gonna get that?" Jack's more concerned about the noise than the numbers.
ZachsMind: "They'll never give you Walt." Is Ben lying again, or did he honestly think here that would never happen?
ZachsMind: "July's right around the corner." Here I thought 1st time they'd been together forever, but they're newlyweds.
ZachsMind: "I got an idea." Rose looks worried when Bernard gets ideas.
ZachsMind: "Don't go out there alone." Ana Lucia surreptitiously reminding Jack of Live Together Die Alone.
ZachsMind: "How U get a gun?" "Does it matter?" Cont of the Sawyer/Jack convo whr Jack told Sawyer he'd get a gun when he wanted 1.
ZachsMind: Rose is undermining Bernard's authority, much like Locke repeatedly underminded Jack.
ZachsMind: "So what does God have to do to get your attention?" I dunno. Crash him on an Island? LOL
ZachsMind: "Five months is long enough, because I knew after five minutes." Another reason why this is in my top ten faves.
ZachsMind: Sam Anderson's face in this scene is so precious. He's like Locke here but in reverse.
ZachsMind: Where Locke lost Helen by making the wrong choice, Bernard so much wants to make the right choice to have & hold Rose.
ZachsMind: "Ppl are saved in different ways Bernard." "I think I liked you better when you just hit ppl w/your stick." Says it all.
ZachsMind: Locke trying to remember the map. Awesome pov looking up at Locke in crutches. Citizen Kane like.
ZachsMind: Ben smiling here. He knows he's got Locke. He knows he's reeling him in.
ZachsMind: "Just saying we're doesn't make us lost, Rose." "I wanted to be on a beach for our honeymoon."
ZachsMind: "Bernard? You brought me to a faith healer?" Bernard's the Man of Faith here. Rose doesn't believe.
ZachsMind: "I have made my peace with what's happening to me." "Well I haven't." This is romance. Not the Jack/Kate/Saw crap. lol
ZachsMind: "If I didn't always have to do something, you wouldn't be here." Woah. Heavier now that I've seen it before.
ZachsMind: "I'm flattered.." Jack rly shouldn't have explained himself. "Damaged goods. Both of us." Again, R&B better than J&K.
ZachsMind: If Sawyer were in Jack's place in the net, they'd be making out by now. Jack's not very bright for a doctor.
ZachsMind: "You're in my spot!" There's precious rare moments between Rose & Locke. I thought for sure she'd follow him to hell.
ZachsMind: "But honey U & I both know it's not gonna take that long." The shared knowing look. Curious she turned her back on him.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind J&K Just met due to a plane crash so yeah there a sweet awkwardness and shyness with them.
ZachsMind: Compare & contrast Rose & Uluru's moment with Claire's time w/Richard Malkin in S1. Rose is far more sceptical.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Jack is a gentlemen with a touch of shyness. It's way more sexy to build tension.
ZachsMind: I love how Uluru's room has crutches hanging from the walls & ceilings. interesting this is after a Locke scene.
ZachsMind: "I'm going to tell him you fixed me." A lie, even w/good intentions, is rarely beneficial in the end.
ZachsMind: Kate tells Jack about events in Maternity Leave. I recall being upset how rare characters shared info. long time ago.
ZachsMind: Jack: "When were you gonna tell me about this?" Kate: "When you decided to let me back into the club!"
ZachsMind: This Jack moment is actually very dramatic. Impotent in hindsight, but very well acted and directed.
ZachsMind: The chemistry between Rose & Berrnard is palpable. I honestly don't understand why they can't use them more often.
ZachsMind: Bernard is a man of Do. Rose is a woman of Be. Together, they're Do Be Do Be Do. That's JAZZ, baby!
ZachsMind: Rose is the only one on 815 we know who noticed Locke in the wheelchair. "Trust me" she says to Bernard. "I know."
ZachsMind: "if you can't leave, neither can i. We won't ever leave, Rose." That's love. That's why I keep coming back. Great story.
ZachsMind: "I pressed your button." "It's not my button." Rose gave Locke a shot of Jazz. Shame he turns back to the map.
ZachsMind: Great song for the final tableau. These ending sequences were less common from here on out. Nice touch.
ZachsMind: Again, Jack completely misses the opportunity to just BE w/Kate. "I'm sorry I kissed you." "I'm not." Kiss her you fool!
ZachsMind: And then we get the Michael reveal, and THUD! From this point on S2 is a freakin roller coaster. Thx guys! C U Friday!
ZachsMind: @AllModConz "they don't use rose much becuz she's a NY actress.." If Muhammed won't come to the mountain..
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 "Jack is a gentlemen.." Tell that to his tattoo lady in season three! LOL
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Jack and Achura were hot 2 thumbs up, plus she gave him the cool tattoo's.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Even with that he was still a gentlemen with her & wanted to help her. Sawyer will con & sleep with anyone.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Jate got kiss blocked the lousy time of Michael. I would have said hey Mike can go get lost.
ZachsMind: Oh I forgot to mention Bernard's SOS sign at the end of the episode is a frowny face. : (
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 "Jack and Achura were hot.. " My point was Jack was NOT a gentleman to her. He was more of a dickweed.
ZachsMind: He also was an unfeeling jerk towards his exwife after he 'got too busy' for her. That's why she left him.
ZachsMind: Ooh I missed this while watching SOS. This marks the 1st time Frogurt is mentioned. We don't see him till the mobisodes.
ZachsMind: Otis Redding's These Arms Of Mine heard Rose's car in the FB & on the Swan record player. ♫ http://blip.fm/~c04uy
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Saving people's lives, including her's is a reason to cheat on your husband. What a selfish B....
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind A dickweed. You'll have to give specific example's from Stranger in a Strange land of his dickweededness.
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 Let's try the whole ep! Jack was being a jerk. That's why she marked him an outisder.
lostdogs10: He walks amongst us, but he is not one of us Achara saw this in him. Jack is the leader. That's why he can't cross lines.
ZachsMind: Yet another curious thing about ..whenever numbers are mentioned in the R&B flashback? They're not The Numbers.

ZachsMind: dangit! Late again I'm here! A little behind everyone but don't let it bother ya.
lostdogs10: Dang that's a lot of food to hiding for one guy.
LOST_WFTB: meh, mostly canned peaches from the looks of it. RT @lostdogs10: Dang that's a lot of food to hiding for one guy.
batchoutlost: What if Adam & Eve are Libby and Jack (The Savers).... er, nevermind :P
fnordishere: Fav: @batchoutlost Warning: Condiments WERE harmed during the filming of this episode.
LOST_WFTB: @ZachsMind glad you made it.
lostdogs10: This why I miss Libby she was so good for Hurley.
LOST_WFTB: Though Hurley must feel like someone has it out for him... Sawyer calls for order, then calls Charlie baby-napper
kbailey3131: okeee, just a tad behind..but um...really, noooooobody else can eat that food he's tossing around?
LOST_WFTB: Great plan, moonbeam, after that we can sing kumbyya and do trust falls. - Sawyer.
batchoutlost: Have Hurley Do It! "No way" "Not Me Not Again No" ... (s5 to Ben) NEVER, DUDE...:" KBY&TrustFalls LOL!

nelly061: @lostdogs10 yeah I really liked them as a couple
fnordishere: how many gongs is that?
kbailey3131: He won't eat it, he hates everything, hey hurley...wanna try my life cereal? oh wait...
LOST_WFTB: Uh-oh *LOST foom and weird title noise* nice slipper .
ZachsMind: Hurley and Charlie have the same problem: addiction. Heroin for Charlie, and food for Hurley.
lostdogs10: Ha Ha in like half a minute Sawyer got off 3 great nicknames.
ZachsMind: "You wanna change? Then change." Easier said than done, Libby.
batchoutlost: Shephard Slipper? (/me says 3 times fast) #SHOES!
fnordishere: #seekers Kumbaya my lord http://bit.ly/8MgN #sawyer #hurley #libby
LOST_WFTB: Isn't hurley's counselor a mutant? #xmen
kbailey3131: oh, in that case, nevermind...even on a deserted island and just eating mangoes and fish, I have limits ;)
ZachsMind: This sequence looks like it woulda been fun to do. Destroying all that food. Productionwise tho I bet it was a nightmare!
LOST_WFTB: Dave is the only normal one in here, but he doesn't want Hurley to change... Hey, niether do I!!!
ZachsMind: I'm hearing Eko in my head: "Don't mistake coincidence for fate"
LOST_WFTB: Taco Night!!!
batchoutlost: Is He Real? "Dude-Dude Give Up The Rock!" -Dave, from #Californication
fnordishere: TACOS!!!!
Yelwrose: Why do they wear pajamas all day?
lostdogs10: Dave is holding Hurley back by not wanting him to change.
LOST_WFTB: BUt Jack.. there is an X-ray machine in Dharmaville just up the road.
ZachsMind: I'm disappointed that Dave nevr became a bigger part of the mythology. wld lk 2 C the char more. The actor was awsm
LOST_WFTB: RT @Yelwrose: Why do they wear pajamas all day? // Why not?! that's what normal people like me do. >.>
lostdogs10: No we don't need go to Dharmaville. Locke is so afraid of getting back in the wheelchair.
kbailey3131: mmmm taco night..maybe Kate worked at the mental facility and that's why she can't stand making them for Kevin...
fnordishere: @LOST_WFTB no a senator that the brotherhood turned mutant by rogue and magento #xmen
lostdogs10: Nice Ben is strung up like Jesus.
batchoutlost: Heny /w the Persecuted Leaders poses: Jesus is his feature this scene / The power of a sawbuck! Sayid has a postpunk Poirot demeanor
ZachsMind: The actor playing Hurley's shrink was the senator in the X-Men movies.
ZachsMind: oops. i think i'm wrong there. lemme doublecheck w/ @lostpedia.com
lostdogs10: @kbailey3131 some of the butterflies and artwork from the mental hospital show up in Kate's home in Season 4.
LOST_WFTB: Sayid almost shot Ben for the second time. well.. first chronologically. uh sorta.
lostdogs10: I would think a heavy blast door would have totally crushed Locke's legs.
fnordishere: Jack / John= JJ ? / ? Adams
kbailey3131: woooo, Sayid with a gun or Jacob with a whatever....my oh my...tough choice which way to die
Yelwrose: @LOST_WFTB LOL Truth be told, me too, sometimes. ;)
ZachsMind: Oh I'm right! Bruce Davison. played Hurley's doctor. AND the bad guy from Stephen King's hospital TV drama
fnordishere: hurley is that a sand garden? with fish crackers... the snack that smiles back?
lostdogs10: @LOST_WFTB Oh 1st time back in the 70's. Maybe it's Sayid's destiny to kill Ben one day.
batchoutlost: Dave is a Food Binge Voyeur! a Trickster for Hurley's weakness
kbailey3131: Nice! RT @lostdogs10: @kbailey3131 some of the butterflies /artwork fr the mental hospital show up in Kate's hm in Sea 4.
lostdogs10: Hurley chasing his own white rabbit. Like Jack chasing Christian.
LOST_WFTB: RT @lostdogs10: Hurley chasing his own white rabbit. Like Jack chasing Christian.
fnordishere: can you connect the four? "its just numbers" "what the hell is that?" YOUR A 23!!!
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 "Like Jack chasing Christian." Ooh! Good observation.
fnordishere: nurse lazerbeak? transformers reference?
LOST_WFTB: @lostdogs10 could be.. he certainly has been right there when Ben's in trouble.
LOST_WFTB: Sawyer is on a roll tonight... Open a chain of mini-marts, hey you think Sayid needs a job?
fnordishere: do the twist http://bit.ly/Tltfm
batchoutlost: Why ABC and Oreo didn't co-brand the DHARMA cookies, I'll never know!
ZachsMind: I still can't tell if Benry is purposefully lying to Sayid to piss him off or if he honestly thinks he can outwit him.
Yelwrose: "Duuuude - the revolution has begun, man."
LOST_WFTB: dude! hurley just took out Red. Neck. Man.
kbailey3131: duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude
lostdogs10: Go Hurley...time to kick some Sawyer butt.
batchoutlost: A Beatdown AND a Litany of Nicknames? Hurley really Tarped him Good!
fnordishere: YOUR CRAZY!!! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clonazepam
lostdogs10: Finally Hurley stand up for himself.
LOST_WFTB: was Hurley channeling the boar by taking out Sawyer's tarp tent?
ZachsMind: Or perhaps Ben is doing the same thing here that Michael was doing on his way to the freighter. Testing for death.
Yelwrose: Get him, Hurley! ROFL
lostdogs10: I think Timmy fell down the well that way.
kbailey3131: Uh I was worried Hurley would ask Sawyer to bump Dave off, ala that very tree frog and well, Cooper/Mr Sawyer for Locke
Yelwrose: "Don't you got an adventure to get to?" great episode
ZachsMind: Seeing Eko building the church here reminds me of recent spoiler info. Can't delve into S6 talk here tho can we?
fnordishere: @kbailey3131 dave = frog?
lostdogs10: Ok I don't know how Jorge get's paid but I couldn't peanut butter with leaf.
scott_welch: RT @LOST_WFTB: Sayid almost shot Ben for the second time. well.. first chronologically. uh sorta. // ;-)
batchoutlost: HEY HURLEY: Always invite Claire & Charlie to your Peanut Butter Orgies. "I LIKE that I Like Chicken" - Training for Mr. Clucks? #23
ZachsMind: "Polar bear on roller blades with a mango." Heh.
fnordishere: RT @fnordishere i like that i like chicken http://bit.ly/UGP6F #mrcluck's
Yelwrose: Dave shows up whenever Hurley eats something that he shouldn't eat.
fnordishere: Gold fish crackers are the snack that smiles back #dave
fnordishere: i like that i like chicken http://bit.ly/UGP6F #mrcluck's
fnordishere: #disk5 commentary from director jack bender and costars jorge garcia & cynthia watros #42
fnordishere: watching "dave" with Hurley and libby dvd comments #nuthouse
HapiBnBusiMom: Wow! Did you see that pic of an island behind Hurley in the shrinks office?
HapiBnBusiMom: As much as I love Sawyer, You get him Hurley!!!!
LOST_WFTB: Jorge Garcia, plays a good, fun loving guy, but his acting chops are up there with the rest of the cast.
Yelwrose: @LOST_WFTB Very true. Jorge is great and definitely hold his own.
fnordishere: garfield had trouble going outside his yard too #hurley #window
ZachsMind: Perhaps more important than the smoke monster for me. Where did Dave really come from?
batchoutlost: Who cast Hurley in The Bourne Identity? Fun. Freedom < Cheeseburgers. Chili Fries on Me. I need to can haz!
lostdogs10: Window's a door into your mind. Free you mind and the rest will follow.
LOST_WFTB: Hurley can do a fairly good job of treating himself... but is Dave from alt-timeline?
fnordishere: RYE @lostdogs10 Window's a door into your mind. Free you mind and the rest will follow.
kbailey3131: ummmm cheeseburgers taste like freedom...I can get behind that
LOST_WFTB: This part of Dave is a total mind f***...
lostdogs10: Christian had on white tennis shoes and Dave has white slippers. Both trying to counsel.
fnordishere: @LOST_WFTB indeed maybe the guy repeating the numbers in the clinic is because he has to input the numbers into the swan station?
Yelwrose: @LOST_WFTB @LOST_WFTB Nahhhh, Dave is totally in Hurley's head. He's not an island apparition.
ZachsMind: Now pls understand. I looove peanut butter ...but not THAT much. Dude! That was gross.
batchoutlost: Burger Freedom: How funny does that make the captivity Burger served in the first episodes of S3? Nice. (to @kbailey3131)
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind I agree I would have like uh Darlton I need a stunt double to the peanut butter scene.
LOST_WFTB: This is dark.. hurley's brain, or a manifestation of MiB trying to get rid of one of the variables...
ZachsMind: "If I wasn't so fat, they never would've died.." I think Hurley still believes that going into S6.
kbailey3131: oh snap, he just clowned Hurley about Libby...not cool duuuuuuuuuude....
Yelwrose: Season 6 - Hurley wakes up?
fnordishere: what is his program ana?
nelly061: He's done lying. I believe him ha
batchoutlost: See you in another life! // RT @fnordishere: maybe [Lenny]repeating the numbers in the clinic [input] numbers into the swan station?
lostdogs10: Locke why do you need to talk to Ben? All Henry is going to do is keep pushing your buttons.
batchoutlost: ...Paging Libby, to the Summit...
LOST_WFTB: Benry is as much up inside Locke's head as much as Dave is inside Hurley's.
ZachsMind: What if Dave was one of the 23 who died? Maybe a face that Hurley saw in the crowd of people.
lostdogs10: If Dave is the dark MIB part of Hurley's mind, Libby is the light Jacob part.
fnordishere: speaking of glyphs http://www.touregypt.net/featurestories/taweret.htm two birds one stone or cobra
LOST_WFTB: Maybe it's cuz I made you up? Maybe it's because we were at the same mental hospital. *grin*
Yelwrose: Of course he's lying, John!
fnordishere: did sayid tell hurley to go on a pinic knowing the outcome?
LOST_WFTB: RT @lostdogs10: If Dave is the dark MIB part of Hurley's mind, Libby is the light Jacob part. // true dat.
nelly061: Libby's obviously working undercover. NARC ha
ZachsMind: I love the slipper bit. Hurley put it down when sitting w/Libby earlier. It's still where he left it, had he never moved.
lostdogs10: @LOST_WFTB Wasn't it in the last ep that Sawyer said to Jack you think you in my head? Continuing theme for this season.
fnordishere: WTF PINIC @lostdogs10 If Dave is the dark MIB part of Hurley's mind, Libby is the light Jacob part.
AllModConz: RT @lostdogs10: If Dave is the dark MIB part of Hurley's mind, Libby is the light Jacob part. /I think you're right
lostdogs10: Right on Hurley get some love. Bring back Libby for Hurley sake.
LOST_WFTB: things seem so light and hopeful... then the music changes and we see just how twisted the writers are Psycho Libby!
batchoutlost: I believe Libby just conscoiusness-skipped (blank drugged look going into the whoosh)
LOST_WFTB: Oooooh... nice. RT @batchoutlost: I believe Libby just conscoiusness-skipped (blank drugged look going into the whoosh)
fnordishere: say CHEESE (BURGER!) #photoop #libby drugs
AllModConz: RT @LOST_WFTB: Sawyer is on a roll tonight... Open a chain of mini-marts, hey you think Sayid needs a job? /great one
ZachsMind: Hurley jumping off that cliff is like Jack trying to blow up the Hatch w/a bomb before it gets built. Reset button.
Yelwrose: Thanks folks, was fun.
ZachsMind: "See you in another life" same thing Desmond says to Jack.
ZachsMind: "I earned five minutes with him." How did Locke earn anything from AL but "You're Crazy."
LOST_WFTB: @ZachsMind @lostdogs10 though they say it's not a snow globe, this episode is still plausible.
LOST_WFTB: RT @Yelwrose: Thanks folks, was fun. agreed.. thanks for joining in.
ZachsMind: "God can't see this Island any better than the rest of the world can." Ben is doing to Locke what Dave did to Hurley.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind I think that phrase you in another life could be the writer's telling us about the time loops.
batchoutlost: If you see just one episode of S2, skip Dave. You will be confused as the Writers slap you in the face with the numbers paradox
AllModConz: RT @ZachsMind: "God can't see this Island any better than the rest of the world can." / theories on this? endless spec
ZachsMind: When Ben said he was done lying, he was lying. LOL
lostdogs10: @LOST_WFTB Snow globe or like record spinning around.
lostdogs10: So season 6 the spinning should stop on the correct groove. I'm trying to explain Geronimo Jackson
ZachsMind: "Because in real life, no girl like you would ever like me." Was it her interest in him that triggered his relapse?
fnordishere: @batchoutlost you expecting a looney bin to be a sane ? sorry dave
ZachsMind: By the way there are pretty girls who really dig fat guys. Rare, but not imaginary. So Hurley's logic is unsound. *smirk*
lostdogs10: Maybe they are on fantasy island. Sawyer does call Charlie tattoo.
ZachsMind: And one of the more cryptic endings of episodes in the series history. We may never understand that fully.
fnordishere: @ZachsMind AL? #locke
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Hurly could have been rejected all of life so that's how he feels. He felt that way about his dad leaving.
ZachsMind: @AllModConz "theories on this?" Ben lies. Ben doesn't believe in a god. Ben's a snickerdoodle. Pick one. LOL
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 But Hurley hasn't been rejected all his life. Remember back in Numbers the record store chick was into him.
ZachsMind: @fnordishere "AL?" Ana Lucia.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind That's what makes me mad about Libby, we saw her with Desmond. Libby has more story to tell.
ZachsMind: @Yelwrose I've gone out with fat girls. Not recently. I like healthy gals. Weight's just one of many things to consider.
ZachsMind: Libby lost her hubby. Went nuts. Got better. Gave Desmond her hubby's boat. Moved on w/her life. Got stuck on an Island..
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind But did Libby or her husband work for Widmore? Des needs a boat bingo out the blue he comes libby.
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 "did Libby or her husband work for Widmore?" We may never learn unless Cynthia Watros' agent grows a pair.
HapiBnBusiMom: Watching "Dave" makes me want to re-watch Vanilla Sky!
HapiBnBusiMom: RT @Yelwrose Season 6 - Hurley wakes up?
HapiBnBusiMom: Good one! RT @lostdogs10 If Dave is the dark MIB part of Hurley's mind, Libby is the light Jacob part.
HapiBnBusiMom: I saw that too! RT @batchoutlost I believe Libby just conscoiusness-skipped (blank drugged look going into the whoosh)

LOST_WFTB: @lostdogs10 Sayid is Mr. Fixit, Jack's only good with internal plumbing...
kbailey3131: @LOST_WFTB I'm in...if all goes well during my commute lol
justinkeyes: Previously on : He is "one of them." Well, of course he is. As we've come to find out, the episode titles don't lie.
kbailey3131: how do you translate "hubba hubba" ?
LOST_WFTB: RT @justinkeyes: Previously on : He is "one of them." Well, of course he is. the episode titles don't lie. // yep. LA X! ;)
LOST_WFTB: I really think if Sun and Jin worked out their problems in English, it would go smoother. (at least easier tweeting)
batchoutlost: I'm in for (Bandwidth Permitting)
lostdogs10: @kbailey3131 Jin hubba hubba,
Yelwrose: A little late, but not too much. Good evening, everyone on _WFTB
LOST_WFTB: Really, Sun and Jin are the main food providers for the tribe, if they were on Survivor, they'd never be voted off
Yelwrose: Good to see you here tonight, LOST_WFTB
HapiBnBusiMom: Sorry I'm late; had to reboot my PC. I'm about 6:30 mins marker.
lostdogs10: John to Ana "Running like the devil is chasing you" Yeah MIB.
batchoutlost: When you're an assassin/enforcer, you can't wuss out on account of your wife. Sun's angry at Mr. Paik - Transferrence, Dude- (Hurley)
kbailey3131: no, I think Jin would have been gone after the bruhaha with Michael
kbailey3131: um, bruhaha number 1 with Michael lol, there have been so many
islandscientist: Balloon map on Rousseau's map: http://bit.ly/2eNp8b
kbailey3131: our "arrangement"? is that what the cool kids are calling it nowadays?
nelly061: wow creepy bathroom scene w/ Locke and Jack
lostdogs10: Dude how creepy is it for Jack to come naked from the show and have John there? Nice look down at the good Terry.
kbailey3131: RT @nelly061: wow creepy bathroom scene w/ Locke and Jack I was JUST thinking that lol
HapiBnBusiMom: Ha! RT @lostdogs10: Dude how creepy is it for Jack to come naked from show & have John there? Nice look down at the good Terry.
HapiBnBusiMom: "Not nearly enough sex!" Love me some Sawyer!
nelly061: @kbailey3131 is there a toilet in there? THAT wouldve been creepier ha
lostdogs10: Why would there have been a pregnancy test on the airplane?
batchoutlost: Sawyer is such a teaser/schemer, holding out his stuff just for the glee of having moments with needy Lost women
kbailey3131: because I shaved?!!? With what a half shell like the flintstones?
lostdogs10: Thanks Kate for asking the question I want to know and no that didn't seem like 2 minutes.
justinkeyes: The pregnancy test was the first mention of Widmore, right?
lostdogs10: Lots of things on the island seem "complicated"
HapiBnBusiMom: I think so! RT @justinkeyes: The pregnancy test was the first mention of Widmore, right?
batchoutlost: So Eko told Charlie about Henry Gale, right? (Secrets that Locke thought he kept)
justinkeyes: I love that scene with Jin listening to Sawyer and Bernard speak in Korean.
LOST_WFTB: Does Kate even know about Benry in the Hatch?
batchoutlost: Adventuring for the Balloon Reveal was my favorite quest this Episode & Backwards English Audio dubbing was a fun effect
justinkeyes: @LOST_WFTB No, because Jack is the one who is actually keeping the secret.
islandscientist: @batchoutlost Actually, Sayid told Charlie at the end of "One of Them" — "Tell me, Charlie. Have you forgotten?"
HapiBnBusiMom: What? I thought Sun HAD been with another man!
islandscientist: @justinkeyes At least Kate has the satisfaction of keeping the medical station a secret from the doctor.
batchoutlost: ...If Sun was in MI:5 by S6, it would not surprise me. She wants to outfox Widmore, &Get Jin Back (being a power broker)
lostdogs10: @HapiBnBusiMom She was but didn't get pregnant until her and Jin were on the island, because the island healed Jin.
lostdogs10: John and Jack fight sometimes like brothers.
HapiBnBusiMom: But she LIED to Jin right? I thought she feared it was the other guys baby.
batchoutlost: Ben is really perfecting his "Beatdown Look" by now a pervasive Grimy film :)
justinkeyes: "I guess it's a good thing I'm not one of them, huh? // You guys got any milk?" LOL! Love that scene!
islandscientist: @justinkeyes Really needs to be a sentence to be a lie, but "The Whole Truth" really isn't.
HapiBnBusiMom: "You guys got any milk?" He's such a great actor!
LOST_WFTB: RT @justinkeyes: "I guess it's a good thing I'm not one of them, huh? // You guys got any milk?" LOL! Love that scene! // agreed!
lostdogs10: @batchoutlost I know is there a special on one of the dvd's of M Emerson's makeup jobs?
justinkeyes: @islandscientist I was referring to "One of Them."
islandscientist: @justinkeyes You were saying that the episode titles don't lie, giving "One of Them" as an example. I'm saying they can "lie."
lostdogs10: @islandscientist @justinkeyes If the titles can lie then Whatever happened didn't have to happen.
justinkeyes: @islandscientist Which episode title lied?
justinkeyes: @imnotbob It's certainly a great one. Was there anyone still believing "Henry Gale" at that point?
islandscientist: @justinkeyes "The Whole Truth" is a lie in that it's not the whole truth. Sun was still lying.
islandscientist: @lostdogs10 Right, a lot of the titles like these are just important phrases that people say.
islandscientist: @lostdogs10 I'm not suggesting that all of the titles are lies, just that you shouldn't believe something just because it's a title.
justinkeyes: @islandscientist OK, I guess you're right there.
lostdogs10: @islandscientist I'm not saying that either. What I'm saying just because you have a title doesn't mean it's always "literal".
lostdogs10: @islandscientist Dead doesn't always mean dead.
justinkeyes: RT @lostdogs10: "@islandscientist Dead doesn't always mean dead. " Well... I don't think we've seen anything to the contrary yet.
ZachsMind: Did I miss again? sorry been looking for another way out besides the front door. Which I barricaded. Crazy lady outside.
ZachsMind: OK pressing play The Whole Truth. I recall this being a kinda filler ep tween Maternity & Lockdown. Not memorable itself.
ZachsMind: We'll see if time's been kind to it. It is Sun-centric I think. We learn she's been two-timing on Jin. Oh & she's preggie
ZachsMind: Some eps stand alone but others have to tie up loose ends & set up for the next standalone it's a writers thing.
ZachsMind: In #thebigbangtheory Penny & Leonard try 2 hav sex but Leonard doesn't shut up. Same happens here w/Jin&Sun
ZachsMind: "I have blood on my hands because of what your father makes me do!" Jack has bad bedside manner. Jin has bad bed manner 2
ZachsMind: The other day I mentioned I didn't remember Sun ever being in her garden after being attacked. Guess I was wrong. =)
ZachsMind: Sun shoulda slapped Jin for ruining her garden. He may have done more harm to her than Charlie did.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Wait stop the presses Zach is wrong. Sun's garden is growing thanks to the "Island"/Jacob.
ZachsMind: "You were runnin like the Devil's chasin' ya." "Maybe he is." Some dislike AL I miss her. She stirred things up. Plus HOT
ZachsMind: @lostdogs10 Why was Sun planting a garden in the middle of a jungle? Not enough plants already? Order among chaos? WTF?
ZachsMind: "I don't need Jack's permission to talk w/you." Locke's doing this because of what Ben said to him at the end of last ep.
ZachsMind: This early on, Ben's manipulating John. We're 3 days into his 'captivity', and Ben's already controlling Locke. ...wow.
ZachsMind: Still think it out of the question that Ben PLANNED to be abducted? Just how much did Ben know before 815 crashed?
ZachsMind: Ben had Charlotte's entire life memorized. Did he do that with everyone scheduled to eventually wind up on the Island?
ZachsMind: When Ben sd in S5 that this is the 1st time he doesn't know what's happening next, do we honestly believe him? BEN LIES
ZachsMind: I had forgotten how hot Michelle Rodriguez is. Damn.
ZachsMind: Bernard & Rose! I love it when those two characters get to show up. I love how they're arguing already.
ZachsMind: Why doesn't Rose pick up on Sun's problem? Sun's behaving as if she's got morning sickness. Rose usu more intuitive.
ZachsMind: Question for ladies & gay men among our group. Which is more dreamy? Jin or this bald guy? Did Sun pick the right guy?
ZachsMind: I think they're both geeky, but I'm no judge of what girls find attractive. I'd like to see Sun end up w/Hurley. =) Hee!
ZachsMind: The "Benry" scenes are even more weighted and cool now that we know who he is. Quite the trickster this one.
ZachsMind: Judy Blume's Are You There God It's Me Margaret I tried reading that back when I was in the 6th grade. Prefer Superfudge
ZachsMind: Sawyer's critique of Blume's Margaret, "Predictable. Not nearly enough sex." That's actually a good description.
ZachsMind: In that book Margaret does exercises that are supposed to increase her breast size. I'm not making that up.
ZachsMind: Sawyer's nickname "Sunshine" for Sun coincides w/how she approaches him, but she turns dark & cold as she turns away.
ZachsMind: I love how Kwon Sun-Hwa can go from sunshine to killer frost in a nanosecond. Acting-wise that's harder than it looks.
ZachsMind: The Seeds' "Pushin' Too Hard" is playing as Locke & Jack talk in the hatch about Ana Lucia &... ? http://blip.fm/~bmeg7
ZachsMind: Locke happens to be looking at a Geronimo Jackson album cover
ZachsMind: @taravictoria very astute observation. Sun def is not afraid 2 go after what she wants. This becomes more prevalent in S5
ZachsMind: @spinytailx I seen many men shirtless and am dumbfounded at what you ladies find so fascinating. We got no mammaries.
ZachsMind: Ana Lucia doesn't make a very good 'good' cop vs bad cop scenario Again, it's like Jack's bad bedside manner.
ZachsMind: In interrogation, Ana Lucia already knew the boys had been playing bad cop So she plays her encounter w/Ben differently.
ZachsMind: However, Michelle Rodriguez plays it via body language so that we see.. Ana Lucia is VERY uncomfortable in good cop role.
ZachsMind: Here's a clearly blatant gag. Hurley & Sun happen upon one another in a gigantic jungle forest. What are the odds?
ZachsMind: Sun's preg test is a Widmore product. How conv. What's not conv is finding a private place in a jungle w/no bathroom.
ZachsMind: In the FB writers make a point to have the Dr ask Sun about her father. So we see they forever live in Mr. Paik's shadow.
ZachsMind: fallopian tubes? I remembered this playing out diffy. I thought they couldn't conceive because of Jin? damn my senility.
ZachsMind: OK Jin's acting like a supreme nut job right here. Who's he think he is? King Henry VIII?
ZachsMind: "I didn't tell anyone Ana" "No worries man" what was that about? Why's Jack saving face over Locke to Ana?
taravictoria: @ZachsMind That is a very good point! I love her character arc. It's amazing to see how she has progressed since the pilot.
ZachsMind: "How did you get him to do this?" "I asked nicely." Again. She knew Sayid did bad cop; she played good cop. Got results.
ZachsMind: But she's not happy about it. Look on her face; it's like she feels dirty. Betrayed those she 2 The Others along the way.
ZachsMind: Ana Lucia is a haunted character, and Rodriguez plays that very well. Surrounded by ghosts & regrets.
ZachsMind: Fans of Hellblazer comic might agree: M.Rodriguez would have been a better John Constantine than Keanu Reeves.
ZachsMind: She's not male, british, or good in a trenchcoat, but M. Rodriguez understands how to play haunted.
ZachsMind: I'd like to see Rodriguez & Naveen Andrews working outside the LostVerse. Like a buddy cop film. Spicy chemistry
ZachsMind: Nice psyche on Charlie's part. I'm w/Locke's orig opinion re guns: no one should have one. They're dangerous.
ZachsMind: Kate's point: "Who flies w/a pregnancy test? Actually that's a good point. What was it doing on the plane?
ZachsMind: Wow. I'm not a big fan of Jack, but his advice to Sun was actually unnervingly candid. I liked him for a nanosecond
ZachsMind: What if Jae Lee's American woman lover had been Libby? That would tie some loose ends together.
ZachsMind: Maybe Jae Lee's death is what drove Libby insane for awhile? Caused her to spend time in Hurley's hospital? It's possible
ZachsMind: "It wasn't you that killed Shannon. It was Them." That's... one way of looking at it. And now it's raining. Again.
ZachsMind: Leave it to Sawyer to be a complete and utter jerk about Sun's 'secret.'
AllModConz: RT @ZachsMind: What if Jae Lee's American woman lover had been Libby? /dude, u just blew my mind. he's got $ to buy boat
ZachsMind: "I'm fixing a mistake." Now THAT's the hardest thing for any guy to do: admit when he's wrong. Very cool on Jin's part.
ZachsMind: I dont buy doc's story. If he rly feared Jin & Mr. Paik, he wouldn't have risked telling Sun. Something else is going on
ZachsMind: "...Daddio" LOL! these 2 actors are so underappreciated. Theirs is the hardest job: acting korean for americans. Amazing!
ZachsMind: I'm surprised there aren't more Jin/Sun shippers out there. Way too many Jaters and Saters. I'm a Desmenny myself.
ZachsMind: "So what's the difference between a martyr & a prophet?" "Either way sounds like you end up dead." "That's the spirit."
ZachsMind: @AllModConz Re Libby/JaeLee shipping: ooh ya he coulda bought her a boat. Hadn't thought of that. Good thinking!
AllModConz: RT @ZachsMind: "So what's the difference between a martyr & a prophet?" "Either way sounds like you end up dead."
ZachsMind: Problem w/Libby JaeLee shipping: she said his name was David and that they got married. But she might have been lying.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Go to www.fanfiction.net and get all pairing you want. Sun/Jin stories. Pesmond.
ZachsMind: Jack is being nice to Benry out of spite. This is more Locke/Jack brinkmanship. Jack's not being selfless here.
ZachsMind: Ben's playing this VERY smart. Pretending not to know what the computer is for. Pretending not to know y there's cereal.
ZachsMind: And also, Ben KNEW Ana didn't tell them. He's mentioning the map on purpose. BEN's move in the brinkmanship game.
ZachsMind: "You guys got any milk?" AND THUD. Better than I remember it, but again it's a connect the dots ep preparing for Lockdown
ZachsMind: Again sorry for the tardiness. Thanks for letting me participate in the madness... I think I smell gas... ---- +++ *&!~%$
LostCon: Jack is being nice to Benry out of spite. This is more Locke/Jack brinkmanship. Jack's not being selfless here.http:/ ...
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Sun was planting a garden for food and medicine. Shannon's asthma attack, Kate's passion seeds.
lostdogs10: @ZachsMind Sawyer hording what little medicine they had it was smart of Sun to start a garden. .
