Welcome to this Special Edition of Tweets O’ the Week! It’s true, many LOSTies, including me, love the new show The Walking Dead. Last week, a lot of us tweeted about it – so many that a special edition was warranted.
If you haven’t seen the series, check it out. It has an ensemble cast, they’re far from home, they can’t get back, they’re in peril… sound familiar? So many similarities, but in a great way. I’m no fan of the zombie genre and I love the show. I have lots of company, some of whom may be familiar to you…

Well, it was bound to happen: last week I saw my first tweet from a LOSTie who hated TWD for its similarities to LOST. I tweeted that I don’t mind when shows do things in a similar manner to LOST when they’re done well. Here are a few replies:

On the other hand, last week’s episode was – hmm – familiar?
I write reviews of The Walking Dead for UK site Simply Television which are also published here on LOSTblog on the Friday after the US premieres, which is when the UK gets the episodes. This means that I am lucky enough to have access to preview the episodes, along with site editor/owner Tom Wilson. We both couldn’t help but notice all of the similarities to LOST when we previewed the most recent episode, “Wildfire.”
