I think my fellow losties will like the new movie Inception. Inception is about group of people that specialize in breaking into other people dreams and trying to retrieve information. Leonardo DiCaprio’s character is the best at this retrieval job and wants to return to the family he had to leave behind.
Leo is hired by Ken Watanabe’s character to not retrieve information but to implant an idea into someone else dream for corporate use. The term for implanting an idea is called Inception. If Leo and his team are successful then Ken’s character will fix it so that Leo can go home.
Being able to share someone else’s dream and manipulate them I find really interesting. Dreams within dreams. What is real and what isn’t.
The movie special effects are amazing and blew me away. Some phrases like taking a leap of faith, letting go are will remind you of Lost.
Myself and the friend I went with we found ourselves constantly asking during the movie is this part a dream or is this real, sometimes it was really hard to tell.
Director Christopher Nolan did a wonderful job of telling a gripping layered action filled story. I wish other directors would learn from Nolan.
I encourage everyone to see Inception. Also when you wake up in the morning ask yourself what did you dream about? Are you awake now or is this still a dream?
This is the only summer movie so far that I’ll want to see again.
