Since this season started I’ve been wanting to have a good discussion with Chris Seay and Scott Welch about LOST and chat up all the faith angles through our shared lens of Christianity (specifically the Protestant facet, because that’s what I know). The schedules finally aligned this morning, just in time. Because part of me was really worried that we were all being setup for a big twist that would make all the faith allusions and allegories incomplete. For me the finale was a big *phew* and the more I’m thinking about it, the more LOST can be one of those discussion starters where a natural progression to discussions about faith, and where I can share my faith in Jesus Christ, can begin.
Chris Seay is the Pastor of Ecclesia Houston, and the author of the Gospel According to LOST. Scott Welch is the Pastor of North Fork Baptist Church in Virgilina, VA and the husband of Nikki another good LOSTie friend on twitter. I’ve been a lay Sunday school teacher at Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Plano, TX for over 10 years, and it was a great blessing for me to be able to discuss LOST with these two men of the cloth.
