Enjoyed the Live TweetUp last night immensely. You can never predict how these things will go. With the deep story of The 23rd Psalm I was thinking it was going to be a deep discussion of redemption and Eko's haunted past. Instead it became somewhat like an zany episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 as we snarked about Micheal's blooming chat addiction, and Charlie recurring smack addiction. That said, this is an awesome episode, and makes the list of "we need to watch that again" episodes (and the Darlton DVD commentary is awesome). See what we tweeted about, and add your own thoughts in the comments.This episode does have its heavy moments, and some recurring themes kick off here as well. The Eko Nigerian backstory is captivating. His tortured tour of this brother's tragic death scene. The spiraling vortex of the to be revealed Pearl Station, a question mark to be revealed later. Michael continues to try to figure out a way to communicate with Walt, even if it means compromising button pushing. Locke teaches Michael how to shoot a rifle. Charlie and Claire have a spat since Charlie is being dragged back into the siren song of the heroin stuffed Mary statues. Sawyer gets his haircut by Kate, and Hurley meets and helps Libby out with her shelter. And in the final moments of the episode, we see and hear Psalm 23 played out as Ana Lucia gets served a meal by the happy (for now) couple of Jin and Sun.

ZachsMind: Eko's told he has no soul. His own brother claims God will not forgive him Eko's plot arc is all about redemption.

ZachsMind: Ah! One of the more powerful scenes of the series: Eko STARES DOWN Smoky! I still geek out over this one! Awesome!
ZachsMind: We now know from Ben's interaction w/Smoky in S5 that it seems to read its targets memories, but what if it's temporal?
ZachsMind: What if Smoky reads your linear timelines? What if Smoky sees not just you, but all possible yous along a temporal axis?
