8 Great Conversations

This is one of my favorite slideshows BuddyTV has done. It takes eight conversations - “I Never,” Desmond’s phone call to Penny, Richard’s visit to young John Locke - and it shows each shot (or most of them) and the dialogue that went with it. It’s pretty cool to look back and forth and think about the actor’s physical performance of the line and trying to figure out what made it ‘work.’ How did they use their eyes? How did the camera frame them? Henry Ian Cusick is SO melodramatic but that’s what makes him brilliant, where as one starts to think with Hurley more of it is in the voice than the physicality. Fair? No? Discuss.
