2009 Character Cup: Round 2, Matches 15 & 16

Wow. As soon as things get interesting with a few close matches we go right back to the blowouts!

Hurley 86% - Christian 14%
Desmond 96% - Radzinsky 4%

Hurley was predicted to win in 93% of the brackets, with Christian managing just 5.8%. Desmond was predicted to be victorious in 98% of all brackets; Radzinsky only 1.2%. So no surprises this time. We've still got seven bracketeers holding onto perfection and plenty of others hoping for them to slip up soon.

Today marks the end of Round 2. We're closing it out with some interesting matchups. Might there still be a statistical upset in the cards? We'll know by tomorrow morning.

Up first is another potential bracket buster between two men of interesting professions. One is a Nigerian warlord-turned-priest and the other is a ghost whisperer from Encino. One is very much dead while the other's fate was left up in the air at the end of Season 5. Who will it be- Eko or Miles?

Our other matchup pits an Other against an original Lostie. The Other has been seen a good bit lately, while the Lostie has been MIA since Season 4. Will you support the man who supposedly wears eyeliner or will you toss some love the baby mama's way? Richard vs. Claire closes us out!

An Explosion And Other Details

Some details about Lost season 6 from TVGuide.com:

- As we’ve heard before, the final season won’t answer all our questions. “I don’t know if we want to be fully satisfied,” Michael Emerson said. “I think it’s always best to go away wanting a little more.”

- A bomb exploded, according to Jorge Garcia and Daniel Dae Kim, although they’re not telling if it’s the bomb at the end of season 5.

- A source says Elizabeth Mitchell just returned from shooting some scenes in Hawaii, and is expected to return there to shoot some more. She’s probably taking advantage of the production break on V.

- Garcia adds that Cynthia Watros might not return to the final season, although we should expect the show to “probably deal with the story”.

2009 Character Cup: Round 2, Matches 13 & 14

Hey! Finally we had some matches that were a little on the closer side of the spectrum. Jacob and Charlie started out pretty close but Charlie managed to pull away and stay ahead. Vincent put up a valiant effort but didn't have it in him to keep up with Kate. Here's how it all worked out:

Charlie 59% - Jacob 41%
Kate 63% - Vincent 37%

Charlie was predicted to win Round 2 in 51.2% of all brackets, making him a slight overachiever in the polls. Jacob was predicted to win in 40.6% of the brackets, so his numbers were just about dead on. Kate was predicted to win in 65.3% of all brackets and Vincent only 10.9%.

There are now just 7 perfect brackets left in the competition! Is it possible that one of these seven will go all the way? Or will they all get one wrong and leave the DVD prize race wide open? Only time will tell.

Today we've got some interesting matches. Up first is a dead guy and someone who can see him. Both seem to have a connection to Jacob. One claims to speak for him while the other is capable of seeing him and has met him personally. Will it be the Dad or the Dude?

The second fight is a hatch match! Two former residents of the Swan station are going toe to toe. Will you support the man who designed it or the man who destroyed it? Is it going to be the angry American or the sexy Scotsman?
